Trying to track down info/family of grandfather, William Baldridge, aprx. date of death 1910-11, in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Is thought he had a brother in Waco, TX, name unknown.

Is it possible your family tree includes William Baldridge, as your family traces back to Texas, also?
William was born in Oklahoma, and is half-Cherokee Indian.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Linda: My grandfather was Robert Lee Baldridge of Clifton, TX - just 35 miles NW of Waco, TX. I have many more names in family and would like to see if can connect. He was one of 11 children. His parents and 2 sisters are buried in Walnut Springs, Bosque Co., TX. I have been searching for some of family somewhere beginning with whose names I had in TX. One brother I think went to Bakersfield, CA and was superintendent in railroad yard. Please write back - seems OK and TX connection might be made.

Linda:
The William Baldridge in my line (my grandfather's older brother) was a retired lawyer living in Denton, Denton Co., TX at the time of his death ? and in earlier years taught at Meridian College, Meridian, Bosque Co., TX and was co-publisher of The Clifton Record (Clifton, Bosque Co., TX) published the Bartlett newspaper and practiced law in Wichita Falls, TX. My grandfather, Robert Lee Baldridge bought out The Clifton Record from him around 1901. Clifton is 35 miles NW of Waco and Bartlett is about 35 miles south of Temple (between Temple and Taylor). Any connection?

Baldridge and had 2 children, Marietta Baldridge (Marie) born 1906 and Bertha, died at age 2/3. William probably died around 1908 or 1909. He is supposed to be buried in Chilton, TX. Is there any connection to your family? Lynda Kubik

I have records on several Baldridges in Rutherford, NC during the time frame you specified. Most are related to William Baldridge (1689 - 1772 Ireland) and John Baldridge (1715 Ireland - July 16, 1766 Lancaster, PA). Several of these relatives were born in Lancaster, PA and died in Rutherford. I'm sure there is a connection but I don't know if it will help with what you are looking for.
