I am lookin for ancestors of Johann Beierlein. He immigrated to the US in 1848. He married Anna Margareta Backoefer and had 7 sons, Thomas, Henry, George, William, John, Conrad and Frank. They lived in Shaler Township in Pgh, PA. The children began calling themselves Beyerley with MANY spelling variations. Johann originally farmed in PA. The children ran a grocery store and ice house in Shaler. Frank had 6 children: Howard, Elmer, Edward, Lillian, Katherina, and Anna Myrtle.

Where was he from? My Baierlein's are from Germany and what makes it interesting is I see recurring names in your family - Conrad and Johann - I am missing info on the years surrounding your Beierlein - any help would be appreciated. Janice

My name is Carolyn Fowler. My grandfather and g-grand-
father were David Beierlein. They settled and farmed in Darmstadt, In. There were several other Beierleins in that small community in Vanderburgh county, In. I haven't figured out how my g-grandfather was related to them all. I do know Johann and Caroline Kuester were from the same community. They were approximately the same age as my g-grandfather. Brothers or cousins? If you have any more info since you posted your message, I'd appreciate some help. I am in the process of changing my email address-the new one will be slfowler@evansville.net.

I recently saw your posting and I was wondering from what area in the US are your Beierleins from? I have an Anna Beierlein marrying into my husbands family in Polk County, Iowa 5 Nov 1882. But it was spelled Beirlin on another document.
