Thank you very much for your E-mail.... I do know that the name (Leon)has been in every generation of our family.... but I dont have the name you gave me... My line is as follows: John Besand 1928, Adolph Besand 1891,Adolph Besand 1862 Joseph Bezand 1835 France and Joseph Besand 1798 France. I am guessing on the dates only because I am waiting for my new house to be ready so most of my belongings are in storage.... I will have exact dates around the middle of July... o-yes also I am pretty sure that the family comes from (Besan-con, France) but still dont have complete evadance.... o-well I keep trying... please write back... anxious to hear from you... Bev.

Surnames: GRILLON, BESAND
My gggrandmother was Marie Victorie Besand, twin sister to Appoline Besand. This Besand family is from Levier, Doubs, France (near Besancon, FR). My gggrandfather, Constant Grillon was born in La Riviere-Drugeon, Doubs, FR (a nearby village). I was able to trace my GRILLON line to 1630 in this town mostly through LDS Microfilm Research. I visited there May 01 and met 32 relatives that I didn't know existed.

Hi Yvonne,

It's nice to meet you. It sounds like we are cousins. I would love to hear more about the Besand family. Appoline was my gggrandmother. I don't have any information on her parents or siblings. I am very interested in any information you have. Please email me directly at jim@ridings.org

Thank you,

Jim
