North Carolina.....Someone named Deward Williams has
an article of notes that he wrote on my family the
Haus/House connection. It is a section called
"Blackwelder and Allied Families of North Carolina
and Illinois."

Now in this it has Barbara House born 1768 in
Pa. died in 1844 in Cabarrus County, N.C. She
and her husband Johannes Leib had about8 children:
one Catherine Leib married Rueben Blackwelder.
A son Henry Leib married Leah Blackwelder
on January 1, 1818 in Cabarrus County, N.C.
Sarah Leib married Jeremiah Blackwelder.
John Leib, born 1789 married Rachel Blackwelder
Nov. 27, 1809 in Cabarrus County. In the
Cabarrus County history books are many of
the Blackwelder families. Joseph

My thing on this comes from a variety of people such
as a Craig S. Hartley, E.Carroll Creitz, Barbara House
(the living one that is), and others whose work
has been put together. Now here is why I am interested in
this: Marx Haus or Mark House was born in Baden,
Germany; died in 1789 in Mecklenberg Co.,N.C.
He was married to Anna Maria Bost. Mark and Anna
had a lot of children: the one called Barbara
House was born in 1768 in Pa. and died in
Nov. 1844 in Cabarrus Co.,N.C. She married
John Godfrey Leib, son of Johannes Leib and
Barbara Rudisill. Barbara and John had 9 children
one Catherine who married Rueben Blackwelder
Henry Leib married Leah Blackwelder; Sarah Leib
married Jeremiah Blackwelder; John Godfrey
Leib married Rachel Blackwelder. The Leibs and
the Blackwelders kept things in the family,uh?
This is going to take a lot of typing here, so perhaps
I should try sending you what I got.

Does anyone have information on the Blackwelders that would connect Georgia Ann and her brother John L. b.1885; Earl W. b.1889 and Lizzie W. b. 1893 with others in the Cabarrus and Stanley County areas. I am having a hard time finding their parents names, etc. I am showing in the 1900 census for Cabarrus county she and her siblings were living with an uncle Adolphus(41) and his wife Jane (39). If anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate any help.

Joseph, I noticed your posting about Blackwelders and Allied families of Cabarrus County. Lydia Blackwelder bn 1809 married my ancestor William Allison Coleman bn 1809 in Cabarrus County NC. Williams Father was Daniel Coleman, Sr. married to a Regina House. Lydia and William had at least 1 son Alfred Monroe Coleman. Alfred served as a Sgt. in the Confederate Army. I would be interested in anything you might have on Lydia or the Blackwelder and House families.
