My grand father, William Omskirk Bowler, was a "Red Coat" at the start of the American Revolution. By 1779 he was married and moving to Maine. No knowledge of other Bowlers in the Colonies.

Does anyone know anything about an Elisabeth Jones Bowler who remarried an Anthony Garnett? He lived 1720 to 1803, and I don't know where prior to his arrival in Culpepper Co, VA. I think her father's name was Robert Jones, and her mother's name was also Elisabeth. Have also seen the Bowler spelled Boulware.

I believe that my ggg grandfather was William Ormskirk Bowler. Your query states that he is your grandfather(???). Do have his children as Joseph O., Stephen T., William, and James H. Bowler, SR? I would love to know what additional information you have on this line.

I'm researching 3 William Boler(Bowler)s at the present time. So far, none of them married Jane Rhoades. I do have a gt gt uncle, William Henry Boler that lived for a number of years in Arkansas across the state line from Mt. Grove, MO. I always thought that he was a batchelor but there was a lady in his early years. I'll try and discover if he married or had a child out of wedlock. He was never known as Billy but as Uncle Henry or William Henry. The other William's would have been too old but possibly one of their sons was known as Billy. One of these William Bowler does spell their name as BOWLER and he is from DeCatur Co. IN.
