Sorry, but I have no Della Brakebill. However, there were lots of Brakebills in MO who are tied to my line---in fact, all Brakebill (that particular spelling) are kin.
I wish I knew abt her.

Your Doshia (I have seen several spellings of her name) was dau of Phillip Brakebill Docia Perkins. They were married ca 1846 in Owen CO KY.Phillip was son of William Brakebill Mary Keller, who were md Oct 4, 1818 in TN. This William was son of Peter Brakebill Catherine Rorex (spelling uncertain)who were md in 1784 in Hagerstown, MD. William my 3x great grandfather John were brothers. Their father Peter was in the Rev, war. I have a transcript of his pension application. Can supply other info (E-mail HGBRAKEBILL@msn.com)

Hi Gene,
You seem to be the fountain of knowledge when it comes to the Brakebills. Hopefully you can help me. I have hit a brick wall with my GGG-Grandparents Mava Brakebill who married George Waxler. I am pretty sure they were from OH. Mava could also be Maria. I don't have any dates on them except for the dates on their son. His name was also George Waxler who was B-1865 and D-1928 in OH. I think they were from Cincinnati or Muskingum County or Napoleon, OH. Thanks for your time.

Sincerely, Jacqui Malone/Barnes-Gottwald :)

I'm afraid the "fountain" just went dry---that is a Brakebill name I never heard before. I have seen some other Brakebill names in Ohio that I didn't recognize. I once though that all Brakebills (with that spelling) were of the TN branch, but apparently that is not true. They must be connected, however--back in PA where the original Brechbuhl's landed. Sorry I can't help.
