The family name is spelled KEPLER, KAPPLER, and KABLER in Germany and in the U. S. KABLER,KOBLER,COBLER,COBBLER, and CABLER.
I have info on all the above names and will be glad to share.

I have been looking and looking. I always thought my grandmother's maiden name was Cobler until recently when I discovered on the web that it was Cabler. Any help would be GREAT! G.Grandmother-Charlotte M Cabler bn.14July1844 d.5Feb1890. married Silas Dowell 13 Aug1962. Mt records show that Charlotte's father was a John Cabler bn.1818, mother Mariah bn.1822. I am looking for info on a Ralph Cabler, He married a Ruth Selanders in about 1918-1920 we think, They had a son Cecil, don't know what ever happened to Ralph or Cecil. Any help would be appreciated.

I would love any info you have. I never knew all that, but I think it's very interesting and intend to reseach as well. The internet as well as my grandfathers death and my fathers recent stroke has greatly inspired me to find out more.

My Grandfathers name is Recil Lewis "Pete" Cabler. Born March 6, 1909~Ninnekah, Ok. Died May 22, 99~Norman, Ok. My grandmothers name was Opel.
