My grandmother is Victoria Caisse. Her parents were Emmanuel Caisse and Catherine Roy. They lived in the Ile la Crosse region in Saskatchewan Canada. Any relation? I am searching in Ancestry.com. I came across this website. If you find any common ancestors from this area let me know. Thank you very much.

Francois Caisse came to Canada from France as wheelwright inthe Tres Rivoirs Foundary. The Quebec, Canada branch of the Caisse family comes thru him to New England and south. Al's father was the youngest of 16 children, most of whom left the farm in Canada in the winter to work in the mills in Massachusetts for $, then returned to Canada in the summer to help farm and contribute their winter earnings to the family. Mike Caisse in Mass. has the history of all of the children of Francois Caisse and how they have expanded to the midwestern US and western Canada. Let us know if you are interested in more info.

All queries on this family should go through
L'DRAGON(the firebreather). Francois Caisse
dit Le Dragon indeed, came to Trois Rivieres
in 1737, aboard the King's ship "The Jason".
He was a "Maitre de Charron"(master wheelwright)
at the Forge of St. Maurice. He operated the
bellows at the forge, hence the name, the
firebreather.
L'DRAGON is a compilation of work of many Caisses,
including Alex, Mike, Gilles L., Annie, Stephen,
Allen and many others. Direct questions to
ldragon@neca.com

ET phone home!
