I am searching for Campions from Ireland during famine. Settled OH and then on to IA. Have much info.

i am researching two Campion families that came to US, when I don't know, but I think during the famine. One family lived in MA the other lived in IN. James and Denis (Dennis) Campion. They came from Queens County Ireland. I don't have much information on them but will be glad to share what I have.

I have two lines of Campions, both from Queen's County Ireland, probably came here during famine. One line settled in MA and the other settled in IN. I have an old family album with no names but some pictures from OH. Contact me to see if we could be connected. Thank you.

I was born in springfield,Mass.but my G/Gradfather came from England to Newfoundland,Canada back in the 1700's. I've
heard from old family that we left France
and then some went to Ireland,England and Italy.I don't know if we are the same line or not but keep in touch and we'll see what happens GOOD LUCK ! I'm looking for the town in England that James Greenslade came from find him in your travels please let me know THANKS. Bill Campion

My great grandfather was Cornelius Campion born 1/11832 in Queenw Co, Ire. He came with other family members in 1854 and settled in The Rochester, Minnesota area.

My grandfather, James Henry Campion b.@1869 was born in Massachusetts. Most likely the Boston area. His parents were from Ireland, perhaps Cork. James married MaryEllen Gillan of NY. Lived in NY, St Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinatti and Phila. Was a manufacturer/ salesman of piano cases. Had eleven children ( including my mother) who almost all settled in the Phila. area.

What townsland in Queen's Co. (Laois or Leix).My grandmother was Campion from this county and there are a number of Campion families, many Con Campions and frequently inter-related. I may be able to help if you e-mail more information.
