1. I am conducting genealogical research on my paternal family. My grandfather was Rafael NMN Caraballo Figueroa. My grandmother was Clara NMN Lopez Ramos. Both of them were from Puerto Rico and believe to have been born in Yauco, Las Marias, or Maricao.
3. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I was born Yauco P.R. grandmothers from both
my parents were Caraballo. GRANDMOTHER ON MY MOTHERS SIDE, HER FATHERS NAME WAS CASIMIRO CARABALLO, MY OTHER GRANDMOTHER LIVED IN ADJUNTAS, HER NAME WAS RAMONA CARABALLO, i tend to believe they were cousins. If i remember, correctly,i believe they were born in the country, not in the city, they may have been born in Duey . Other last names that came into play with this family were, Dastas, Orengo, Bourgos, Troche, Cruz. etc. Hope this may be of help.

hi, Eva Marie, its possible your husbands family and mine are related, maybe distant but most Caraballo,s in Yauco are related. my mothers , mother was Caraballo. My grandparents made their home in the Matadero Viejo cerro, in the 1950's -1970. ,Maybe Fundy the first writer can write again and ask for more info.

here's alittle more info, the Caraballo's, may have also been related to the name Castillo, according to some info provided by my mother, her great grandfather was Blas Castillo Caraballo, origin spaniard, married the indian of the Island, May need to refer to Spain for a more intense search. We also have Dastas in the family line also intermarried indian and spaniard. Most were raised in Duey, in Yauco P.R.

1. Hello cousin. I know that our family trees are related with only one word of your email -- DUEY. This is el barrio were my grandfather Rafael Caraball-Figueroa was born and raised. About three of my uncles were also born there prior to moving to Central Aguirre, Salinas, Puerto Rico.
2. I am interested in getting the names you have on your family tree.

1. This are the names I have found thus far.
Francisco Caraballo married Ramona Figueroa. They had (probably) eight children: Aurora, Lola, Juan Angel, Justino, Marcelo, Rafael, Martin, and another female. All these individuals were born in Yauco.
