Searching for information about Pleasant Childers, Revolutionary War soldier who married Sarah Jeffries in Buckingham County VA in 1885. I have lots of info after his war service, but not a thing before then to tie him to any family.

You are correct about Pleasant Childers except for the marriage date. It is 4/16/1785. There are records in Buckingham Co. Also his military records. I, too, have not been to directly connect Pleasant
with siblings nor parents. There are some possiblites.

I have found a K.H. that might be the Katie Bell that you were looking for. She was the wife of my great great great great gr.father
John Childers Sr. and no exact dates are available but I'm guessing a birth date of approximately 1775.
I have no other data on him but we know that
his son John Jr was married in Madison county Alabama on Nov 12, 1815, and that he died in 1847 or 48 at the Strangers Home in Alicia, Arkansas. If this info seems to be of use to you, contact me by e-mail and I will help if I can but all my other data is of more recent vintage.
