I am starting to do a genealogy search for the Cinaglia Family and invite all Cinaglias! My father was Peter Cinaglia who was born November 7, 1919 and died December 31, 1989. His parents were Luigi and Francesca (nee Corda). My fathers brothers were Silvio, Bruno, Lenini and Anthony (Silvio the only surviving brother and the eldest). He had 1 sister, Olga, also deceased. They were born and
lived in Camden, New Jersey. Both Luigi and Francesca were born in Italy and came over on the boat (I believe through Ellis Island)..I know there are quite a few Cinaglias out there and believe we are all related.....anyone interested in our family history please contact me - thanks!

Luigi Cinaglia was my father's 1st cousin. I visited the Camden home many times in my youth. I knew the family well. I was not aware that Silvio is the only survivor among the sons. there was also a brother of luigi's. Peter? I can't remember.
I live in Blue bell, Pa.

Surnames: Cinaglia
I am woking in our genealogical tree as a hobby. I live in Venezuela. My grandfather´s father came from Italy and got married in Caracas in 1882. All persons named Ghinaglia in our country is a descendant from him.
I think our surnames were connected in the long past, similitudes are evidents.
Ghinaglia exists now in Lombardia and Liguria, Italy. Perhaps your surname has its origins there.
I found a website in which you can find some free information and if you want other services, you have to pay them. Its name is "genslabo.com", at Genova.
I hope this information can help you. Have good days.

Fran,

How is the search going. I typed our last name into a web search and found that we have a relative in the Italian Army Col. Luigi Cinaglia. Let me know what info I can give you.

Hi Lenny:
Finally, after quite a bit of time had elapsed, I received a message from Richard Cinaglia, Silvio Cinaglia's son.
My 1st cousin Tony and I are anxious to visit Silvio, whom we haven't seen in over 50 years. Richard said that Silvio is not very well.
Richard said he would try to arrange a visit. Meanwhile, I learned that Fran is Pete's daughter. You, Lenny, are where in the Cinaglia clan? Descended from Uncle Luigi or Uncle Joe?
My phone number is 215-646-3126, in the event you feel like chatting.

I just recently started genealogy research on my family. My great-grandmother on my father's side was Yolanda Cinaglia (1911-1971), she had a sister named Delma. Their parents names were Louis (Luigi?) Cinaglia and Josephine de Guiseppi. I believe Yolanda came to America with her husband Louis (Luigi) Forgensi. I was wondering if there is any relation to your group of Cinaglias?
