Dear Henry,
My grandmother was Marietta Daloisio from Palmoli in Chieti. Is it possible we are related...I have had much trouble trying to find other members of the daloisio family from that area. Grandma Daloisio had a brother Alfonso and her mother's name was Annunziata. I am not certain of her father's first name. I would greatly appreciate any info you may have on the Daloisios and will share anything I know with you...Hope to talk soon. Debra Quaranta Sepanj

My grandfather, Luigi D'Aloisio we believed lived in Abruzzi, Italy and came to USA when he was about 18 yrs old. His brothers were Anthony and Arthur, one of them was adopted we believe. Luigi was a tailor in Irvington, NJ. Spouse: Lucy Tretola. Children, Etta, Vincent, Albert, Anthony,Carol, Vera. I'm trying to gather more information from relatives.

I do have some general information concerning a few Daloisio families who came from Palmoli. Need to know more about your family before I can help. Ron

Dear Ron, Thanks for responding. I know that my grandmother's first name was Marietta and she had a brother Alfonso. I am not certain of my grandgrandfather's first name, but, my greatgrandmother's first name was Annunziata. I do not know her maiden name. Marieta D'aloisio married Rocco Quaranta from Mola di Bari. I am not sure if they were married in Italy, more than likely the US. Anxious to find out if you can help...THANKS...Debbie

Dear Debra, You don't have much to start with. Did you try getting a copy of your parents marriage application? Do you have a copy of your Grandmothers obituary. Both could be helpful. Where did they settle in the USA?

I was looking for info on my grandfather. His name was Americo D'Aloisio. He was here when he was 7 years old, and settled in Elmira, N.Y.. He married Stella Dessocio and he dies in 1990. Any help or known relatives would be very helpful.

In my searching for my ancestors, I have found it rare to run across the surname D'Aloisio. My great-grandfather was Stanisloa D'Aloisio and his father was Leonardo D'Aloisio. Stanisloa was from Gibellina, Sicily and married my great-grandmother, Pasqua Asta from Salaparuta, Sicily. Is there any relation here? My relatives settled in Louisiana when they immigrated.
