MAYBE A CONECCTION? MY HUSBAND'S FAMILY IS FROM ALL OVER IN THE UK, WHALES, SHEFFEILD AND CHESTERFEILD. I DO NOT HAVE MUCH INFORMATION AT ALL OTHER THAN THIER NAMES. THEY ARE ADRIAN T. DAMMS BORN IN DURBAN SOUTH AFRICA IN 1976 (MY HUSBAND) TO MICHAEL DAMMS AND CHERRYL (CURRY?) HER FAMILY WAS FROM SOUTH AFRICA, BUT I KNOW THEY HAVE FAMILY ALL OVER NEW ZELAND AND SCOTLAND. THEY DONT HAVE CONTACT WITH ANYONE SO THIS IS MAKING MY JOB 100X HARDER. BOTH HIS GRANDPARENTS DECEASED WHEN HE WAS YOUNG. BUT I AM SURE THERE MUST BE A CONECCTION SOMWHERE? EMAIL ME RLV513@AOL.COM OR RLDE2@AOL.COM

I am Michael Damms, born in Sheffield England 1n 1950.

Now a USA Citizen and residing in Florida.
I believe we have a relationship to a Straw in our genealogy line but the details are not availabe to me at the moment as I am away from home on business.
I have some genealogy/history dating back to the 1800's.
Hope we can assist each other.
Mike.

Hi Mike,
I am not related to the Damms family. I am researching for a friend Jean Damms, whose mother Mary May Damms was born in the Grantham district. She married a Joseph Banks in 1944. Unfortunately Jean was given up for adoption and is looking for some living relative hoping to find a photo of the mother she never knew. I know there are a lot of your relatives in the Sheffield area but cannot find a link. Can you help?
Regarding the Straw family, I would be interested to hear if we have any common ground. My father, great grandfather and great great grandfather were born at South Ferriby, North Lincs, and were lock keepers. We have found relatives in Australia and are in regular touch with them.
Look forward to hearing from you.
George Straw.
