According to the latest update on the Dishmans and looking at the records, my ancestry is suppose to go back to Chief Doublehead in three ways. However, there seems to be no record of Kiziah, Chief Doublehead's second wife, if anyone has any information about this please let me know. Chief Doublehead was buried in Kidder, Kentucky on a hill, his grave is in someone else's yard, but someone has placed a stone there.

Vonda, do you happen to have any pictures of the
Doublehead family? Does the name Jennie Meeks
Doublehead ring any bells? I think she was my
g-g-grandmother. I have what is purported to
be a xerox copy of a picture of her. I would
like to check for any family resemblances. Any
help very much appreciated. B.J. Clay

I, too, am trying to tie in my relationship to Kiziah and Chief Doublehead. According to my information, Kiziah was the daughter, not the wife of Doublehead. Kiziah was married to Thomas Dishman. The Dishman line in my family is from my great-grandfather James Martin Dishman. His daughter, Nannie Dishman Mull was my grandmother. If anyone has further information, please contact me.

Just wanted you to know that Thomas Dishman was born in 1750 in Virginia. He married Kizziah Doublehead about 1774 in Slickford, Ky.
Thomas and Kizziah's children were Jefferson Dihsman, Lewis Dishman, and James Robert Dishman. I have some information on them
Both Kizziah and Thomas Dishman are buried i the Dishman Cementary in Slickford, Ky.
Every year there is a family reunion at the National Guard Armory in Monticello, Ky, Labor day weekend, Sat. night and all day Sunday.
For more info on the reunion you can contact Leonard Dishman of Monticello, Ky.
It is coming up here soon, and am hoping to get to go.
