Anybody out there ever hear of the name
Doonkeen? There are only a handfull of Doonkeens and they are all related. If anyone out there has ever heard of this name please let me know about it. The name is suppose to be English, or Irish?? Not sure. Perhaps it was Duncan and someone spelled it wrong. Be glad to hear from anyone who has any info about the name.

Hi, my grandfather's name was Joe Doonkeen. His dad was Alfredo Doonkeen, whom he believed to be English. We are from the Oklahoma City area.

I have been working on a family tree, I think you are Larkin Rose. I have London and Alexandria also listed. I can email you the family history if you would like. I believe Kotcha said you live in Florida, but I am not sure. I also am listing names and addresses of the family members. We are having a family reunion of the Doonkeen's, October 13, here in Oklahoma City. Kotcha is my first cousin. Our dad's were brothers. Alfred and Pete, both deceased.
Thanks,
Marilyn

Researching OK Doonkeen's

... I am researching the ancestors & descendants of Servellon DOONKEEN (b.1922) & Lola LOPEZ. (b.1926). I found it funny that your surname BEITLER came up, as I just accessed a lot of archives & records last week, and this last name was in one of them. I would guess that you are a descendant of Pete & Alice. I would like to share & compare notes on this line, if you are interested.

BIF...I have a copy of where Servellon was sworn in as a US citizen, and him relinquishing his Mexican citizenship.....

...Any person researching their ancestors can access their Immigration file. There is a procedure for doing this and it goes through the USCIS (INS) office. The form you need to file is a G-639. You must enter as much info that you have and state how you are related and why you are requesting a copy. Here is a link for your use:

Now as far as Servellon's records, I searched archives here in Oklahoma. I have a copy of the newspaper article from his swearing in as a new American citizen. How do you connect to this family, if you don't mind me asking?
