My greatgrandma, Hattie Efurd,was born 1879 in Barbour Co., Al. No one living knows where they came from or whom her parents were, anyone out there with any clues?

Hi,Willa.Thank you for responding.Just a
little curious about the name I have.How does
it fit into your life? I was born and grew up
in Mansfield,Arkansas.This is about thirty
miles south of Ft.Smith.Lots of Efurds
around this area.I know we have relatives in Texas
Texas and lousiana. My grandfathers name
was John Efurd and my dads was John Lloyd
Efurd.I live in colorado and own a t.v.
repair shop.Any info I thank you for.

Greetings! Uncle Roy,
I was out on the ancestry channel and lo and behold look who I found. Funny,huh. I do have some info. you might be interested in. The person who really had the Efurd info. was Jack Efurd in Huntington, but he died not too long ago. I don't know who has all of the family history now.

I have no information about any Efurds in Alabama. I am only familar with Efurds in Arkansas. I would like to find out if we are related, though.

I am not sure how we are related yet, but I can tell you that Jack Efurd of Huntington's research is now in the hands of his son Ron. I have been in contact with him. He's not really interested in it himself, but he is willing to let anyone who is take a look at it.
