I am searching for any information on the Eichholz or Eicholz fmaily. My grandfather Harry Eichholz came from Germany in the late 1800's or early 1900's. I believe he came from Bremen, but am unsure, I know he had family in Ohio but do not know their relationship

Are you aware that there is a family tree in the Ancestry database for a Harry Aichholz? That seems to be the more common spelling of the name.

Hi Elzabeth: My husband's mother is an Eichholz. She was born in Vienna, Austria. When they decided to come here they had to travel to Bremmen, Germany which was the port of departure to USA. We found that the town Ludwig Eichholz came from was in Hungary, not far from Vienna back then. Email me if I can be of more help - bobmarg@greencis.net Good luck - Margie

Hello,
My Great Grandfather was Henry Eichholz..He married Bertha Hermann..Both he and Bertha were from Germany, perhaps Austria.Bertha raised my grandmother in Hoboken, N.J. In the late 1800's and early 1900's this was a large seaport hub.
Henry sailed for the Hamberg/American Shipping line during this time. We were told that he was from Hamburg but in researching various sites,I'm not sure now.
Any help would be great.I was told that he, Henry Eichholz is buried at sea.

My husband is of the Eichholz line. So far we have this traced back to Charles Eichholz. Our direct line from him is Andrew Harrison Eichholz, and his son Charles Edward Eichholz born in 1935 died in 1984.

Andrew Harrison Eichholz/Harry Eichholz is my
husband Ken's grandfather. He was born in Pinckneyville, IL
5/9/1910 died in June of 1973. Ken's father was
Charles Edward.
Is there a connection? With that last name,
I'm sure there is.
Feel free to email me at kadr9697@apci.net

Hello,
My husband's last name is Eichholz. His relatives came from Germany but I'm not sure of any dates. I could probably find some info from his Mother if you are interested.
