I have a Gr. many times grandmother of my husbands
who is Magadalena Ginter, Gunter, Eike. She was
born in Hanover Germany in 1832. Came to
Missouri at a young age with parents. Married
Johanna Konrad Eike in Missouri in 1856.
Later moved to Iowa. Anxious to hear from
others with this name.

I was told by my father that someone traced the Eike name and they said that 3 brothers came over from Germany and settled in MO in the St. Louis and St. Charles area i also heard someone went to Colorado but we are not really sure on that one.

Hello. My dad Dennis Eike is from Estherville, IA. His parents are Alice and Claire, both from Norway. My dad's siblings are Margaret, Claire, Bill, Shirley, and Jim. Since Estherville had less than 100 people (and oh yeah, Eike is extremely rare!), its safe to say we are related! My uncle Claire (better known as Buddy) is very into genealogy - so he has lots of info on the Eike line from Norway.

My father's name was Harold Eugene Eike,
his brother Paul, and sister Dorothy.
We believe that our relatives came from
Germany, and the name may have been shortened. My grandfather's name was Claude
Eike. He lived in Pennsylvania and was a
blacksmith and coalminer. I am really interested in finding people who are
related to us.We do not know much at all
about our family history.
