I too am looking for information on the Enderle name. The Enderles I am looking for came originally from Germany then traveled to the Banat around the Arad area, which is all considered part of Romania.
Please e-mail me at to see if we have any information in common.

Our Enderle family came from the Banat area and settled in Ohio. One of the Enderle brothers stayed in Lenauheim and raised his family there. But we have lost contact with him.

Note to Barbara Enderlein
I read your query requesting information
about William J. Enderlein. In 1997, Frank
Lencek completed a history of his family that contains information
includes information about the Enderlein
family. I(and others) have copies of
this document to share. My email is fax 717-477-4053. I hope
this helps.

I wonder if my family could be related to your family. My great-grandfather was Michael Enderle. His son was Peter Enderle, born in the late 1800's. I say that because my Uncle Benjamin F Enderle was born in 1901.

Michael and his six brothers came to America when the oldest brother was about 14. Their mother died on the trip over, and their father left them here to return to Germany for a second wife. He is reported to have returned with a wife and newborn son.

I don't know if this information matters, but our family has been Catholic for as far back as anyone can remember.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Kay,
The farthest back I can go is to a JACOB ENDERLE, then comes PETER, JACOB, MARGARET (GRETE), FRANK, and MARY (MARIA). We go down the PETER line. Hope this helps.
