My great-grandfather was Rocco Faillace, his wife was Viola and my grandmother, Doris, was my mother's (Kathy) mother. I have grown up with stories of the family spending summers in Merrick. I know a decent amount about Viola (we called her Grandma Faillace) and I am looking for more information on which part of Italy Rocco was from. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!

Rocco Faillace was my grandfather. Doris was my father's sister and your mother is my first cousin.

Rocco was not born in Italy, his father, Marshall was.
I do have a brief history of their family from a Richard Faillace who is my dad's uncle.

I would love to hear from you-how is your mom-we have not communicaterd in many years. Do you see Jeff?

If you would be able to forward me a copy of the family history I would really appreciate it. Mom is doing well, she is now living in California close to my aunt, Jackie. Tommy, their father, just died last week, so Jeff has also been out there helping with arrangements. I think that he is currently living in Alabama. I'll have to ask my Mom to be sure though. If you forward me your email address I can pass that along to her and she can give it to Jeff also. Talk to you soon. Thank you for responding!

If you send your address I will send a copy of what I received from Richard Faillace.

I sent you request to my dad-Marshall-Doris's brother. I told him he should start writing down everything he remembers about the faillace family. He said someone, some time ago, did a family tree and found that the faillace's started out in what is now southern france- the Cote d'Azure. Maybe I can jolt him when I see him later this month-He now lives on Cape Cod. My mother dide several years ago.
