My name is Lowell Flatford and I am a decendent from the Tennessee side of the family. It is my understanding, please correct me if I am wrong, that during the War of 1812, the British burned the Flatford farm in Virginia. After that, the family split ways, one group going to Indiana and Illinois, with the other group going to Tennessee. Some stayed in Virginia though. I am also trying to find out all the information I can get on the Flatford family and I believe you are correct in your link to England. I am currently trying to find out if there is a link to the Flatford Mill, a famous painting by John Constable. Did our family once own it? Please let me know what kind of information you have been able to get, I am very interested.
Again, my name is Lowell Flatford and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. My e-mail address is email@example.com
