Hi Ronnie,
My name is Lowell Flatford and I am a decendent from the Tennessee side of the family. It is my understanding, please correct me if I am wrong, that during the War of 1812, the British burned the Flatford farm in Virginia. After that, the family split ways, one group going to Indiana and Illinois, with the other group going to Tennessee. Some stayed in Virginia though. I am also trying to find out all the information I can get on the Flatford family and I believe you are correct in your link to England. I am currently trying to find out if there is a link to the Flatford Mill, a famous painting by John Constable. Did our family once own it? Please let me know what kind of information you have been able to get, I am very interested.

Again, my name is Lowell Flatford and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. My e-mail address is lflatford@kslaw.com.
Thanks

Dear Lowell
Thank you for your response. It's good to see that I am not the only one researching the tree. I'm getting ready for work right now, and do not have the time to share alot of details. Iwanted to provide you with my e-mail address which is rflatt@iquest.net.

Don,t be confused by my geographicla address of Indiana. I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1961. All my family is pretty much from that area. In 1963 my folks moved to Indiana in search of better jobs and I have been here since. I did live a short while in Texas in the early 80's, and spent a little time away with the United States Marine Corps. Have to get to work now, but I'm looking forward to exchanging informatiom with you soon.

My husbands name is Ronnie Lynn Flatford and we live in Knoxville, TN. I have some info regarding the family name but it is very sketchy due to the fact that my father-in-laws parents died when he was young. I am mostly interested in Indian links to the family name. I would love to be of help to you in your search.
