I have good reason to believe that the early Frymoyers were actually Freymeyers that descend from the German immigrant Jacob Freymeyer of Berks Co. ,Pa.. If you woul like to discuss this please contact me at your convenience.

I am a descendant of Jacob and Elizabeth(Kluck) Frymoyer. I believed they lived in Northumberland County PA in the early and mid 1800s. They had several children including Isaac, Jacob, Henry, Mrs.Hetty Kehl, Mrs. Isaac Phillips, Mrs.Polly Shadle Hummell, Mrs. Joseph Gish, Mrs. Ruben Moyer, and Mrs.Andrew Zigler.
Have you heard or researched this group?

Hi Jeff,
I do not have any specific info. on the Jacob Freymoyer that you mention, however .I do have several Jacobs that are possibilities for your ancestor. Unfortunately, while I do have specific info. on my direct line, I do not have the other possible individuals spouses names or childrens names. In every early census there is examples of known Freymeyers being referred to as Freymoyers and other soundexes .Today across the U.S. there are many Freymeyer families that spell there name as a soundex of the original and I suspect this is probably the case with the Pa. Freymoyers . Many of the Freymeyer lines are not accounted for during the time period that you are questioning and I understanf there is no earlier info. on the Freymoyer family and I believe this a case of spelling . Isaac , Jacob and Henry are the three most recurring names in the Freymeyer family of that era.Do you have any specific birth dates or any other specifics ? Please feel free to contact me. Jay

Surnames: Freymeyer, Newman, Brubaker
I am looking for the parents of Catherine Freymeyer. Catherine married Jacob Newman abt. 1797 in Franklin County, PA. They had 4 children: Catherine, John, Jacob and Henry. Catherine died shortly after the birth of her 4th Child in Oct. 1802. Her parents took the 3 oldest children to raise leaving the youngest, Henry, with his father. One of Catherine's sisters married a Brubaker and had at least 3 children: Catherine, Jacob & John. Jacob Newman, his son Henry and the Brubaker children went to central Ohio around 1808.
If you could provide any leads as to who Catherine Fremeyer's parents were it would be appreciated.

Surnames: FREEMYER, FREEMIRE, FREEMOYER, FRYMYER, FRYMOYER, ETC.
You might know this, but Jacob Freemyer was descended from the Freemyer, Frymyer, Frymoyer and about 20 0ther spellings, of Albany County, NY. They came in 1709. I have much on that line, and some on the Pa. Freemyers. There was a research done on Jacob Freemyer as he did some art work, and they contacted me for information on the family. They were able to supply me with information that I didn't have. Seems like it was lithographs, my memory is old as is my 74 year old body.
