Dolores's husband, James D. Furry is the son of James And Vita Garn Furry and the grandson of Grant and Kate Parmelee Furry. Grant was the son of William and Mary Ettinger Furry. The Furry Family History,by John S. Furry, 1911, has the family tree as recorded by John S. Furry thru documentation and "tradition" ending with Grant's generation. Copies of the book were given in 1911to all of the relatives with whom John was in contact.

My grandmother, Lulu Furry Hartman, was the 12th child of Grant and Kate Parmelee Furry of Wadsworth. Would be happy to swap info with other branches of the family. I photocopied the l911 book by John Furry, Grant Furry's copy.

This may be just a coincidence but I also have a Lulu Furry born about 1879/1880 who married Elliott Francis Henderson. Lulu's parents were Hannah Drake and Cyrus Furry. Any connection?

I am not aware of this Lulu Furry. My grandmother, Lulu Furry Hartman, had an aunt Lulu Furry, born in Wadsworth, Ohio, approx. l868, who married Add* Ringler. They had one daughter who spelled her name Lula. The three ladies were called Aunt Lu, Cousin Lu and Lulu Baby. Aunt Lu came to welcome all infants and care for their mothers, including my grandmother and newborn father.
* Addison?

Hello: Lulu Furry Ringler was my great-grandfather's (Frank W. Furry)sister. I have a small book called the "History of the Furry Family" which was published in 1910-11 in Reading, PA. The book has information on Johonnes Furry( or Forrer) and his descendants to the end of the eighth generation.

Frank W. Furry and his wife Lydia had two children: William and Clara. Which one is your grandparent? Are you interested in the Ettingers? Mary Ettinger was Frank's mother. I have an old album on loan with pictures of "Grandma Furry". In three pictures spanning her lifetime, she is wearing small gold hoop earrings, interesting because ladies of the era usuallly preferred broaches.

I am interested in the Ettingers. My father was Charles Ettinger Rutherford. His mother was Clara Hemmings Furry Rutherford. My siblings and I have a few pictures of Mary Ettinger and several of Mary's brother, Charles D. Ettinger. I believe we have an album of pictures of the Midlothian estate. What is your relation to the Ettinger/Furry ancestry?

Grant Furry, Frank's brother was my grandmother's father. My brother, father, & grandmother were all born in Wadsworth. I am heading north in the near future to photograph all of the family graves at Woodlawn Cemetery, in my case, Hartman, Furry, Ettinger & Parmelee. I have a photograph described by my great-aunt, Emogene, as "the Charlie Furry Reunion" and she was only able to identify half the people in the photo. Uncle Frank is not pictured, and Grant and Cliff are deceased. My grandmother cherished Lydia Furry. She was a kind, loving woman to all. If you would like to email me at jeccndlwd@msn.com. I would be happy to swap info with you.
