I have a little bit of info on some Garling's. I am trying to get more myself. I have names back to 1800's when the Garling name came from Gremany.

What Garling are you looking for?
Mine start with Michael Garling who came to the
U.S. in 1765. Settled in Pa. Had 2 sons John and
Michael. I'm from John's side. He settled in
Ohio. There were also 2 daughters but I don't have
information on them.

I am from John's side as well, he was my grandfather's great great (?) grandfather, I think. I have it written down at home. My aunt was under the impression John was the first of our family to come over to America from Germany but from my research Michael was. My 9 year old is doing a report on a family immigrant and so we have been researching this information, however I have gained an interest in it myself.
