in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. I am sure that he was
my grandmother's second husband. They had no children by
that marriage.

I knew William Garrels, he was a great uncle of mine. My fathers name is Clarence Robert Garrels, son of John and Ethel (Evans) Garrels. William was grandpa Johns, brother.

I am a direct decendent of Herman and Anna (Auen) Garrels. They were my fathers Grandparents. I have the names and a photo to all the children. I will be happy to share.

Herman lived in Lake View , Iowa. A daughter the called Bene( Wobina), Earl, Charles, William, John, Frances, (Male) George. These are the ones I met as child. I will ask my father, not sure how much he can help as he had a stroke 2years ago and has lost some memory. I will get back to as soon as I find the rest of those names. Beverly

Actually, I was replying to another message on which someone mentioned Owen as the last name. My guess is that their information was incorrect. Personally, I don' t have any information on that family other than what you gave me. I'm just trying to place Hilka Garrels, my ancestor, who lived in Iowa.
