HI CINDY,
THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I CAN'T MAKE THE CONNECTION
WITH YOUR FAMILY. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THOMAS SUMPTER GERALD
WAS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER AND HE CAME FROM SOMEWHERE
IN SOUTH CAROLINA.

Hi Cindy: Our family relative in SC was James Gerald in 1750's. Most of family moved to Amite County, MS around 1800, but some stayed. Try looking in High Hills of Santee region, Statesburg, SC region of today, and come forward. GOOD chance you are related to us. Good Luck.

HI MY FAMILY IS FROM TEXAS MY GRANDPARENTS WERE FROM EAST TEXAS AROUND BROWNWOOD, IN THE BEING OUR NAME WAS FITZGERALD, WHICH CHANGED BECAUSE THE OLDEST SON IN EACH FAMILY WAS TO BECOME A PRIEST. NOT WANTING TO DO THIS AND ALSO NOT WANTING TO HURT THE FAMILY NAME HE DROPPED THE FITZ IN FITZGERALD AND CARRIED THE NAME GERALD. THE NAME FITZGERALD MEANS BASTARD CHILD OR ROYALITY. JUST A LITTLE OF WHAT I DO KNOW WE DO HAVE A FAMILY TREE WHICH I CAN GET HOLD OF, IT WILL TAKE SOME MAIL TIME AND THEN I WILL CHECK BACK ON THIS SITE. GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND. PERHAPS MY COUSIN.
