my name is Charles E. Ghee Sr. I have been trying to locate anyone relatived to the Ghee family in Charles City Va., My fathers name is Alonzo Harold Ghee Jr. He was born in Charles City Va., His brothers name is Robert Ghee who resides in Tocoma Washington.
I am interested in tracing the Ghee name, I can say that The Ghee family were slave on now what is called Shirleys Plantation in Charles City Va., in the time of slavery it was know as Carter's Plantation. I hope to hear from you especially if you have additional information about the Carter Plantation.

I have been trying to verify that a Sam Gee who was a slave in Maine and was moved to Charles City, he was maried to agnes last name unknown. I do know that the Ghee's were slave on what is now called Shirley's Plantation in Charles city Va. and it was originaly called The Carter Plantation that where the mother of Robert e. Lee was born. it is good to here from you and now that I know I can reach you by E-Mail I will be in touch. please send me you personal e-mail address.

It's good to find and talk to relatives. Please e-mail me at Elaine.Bradby@viasystems.com. My daughter has an e-mail address at home. But I'm hard to reach on it. She keeps it busy. Looking forward to talking with you. I told aunt frances yesterday that I had made contact with you.
