Hi Rolf,

Remember me! We exchanged some info on the Graderts some time back. I have a different e-mail now. I also have quite a few Graderts with the same name. Have you made any progress at all.

Hi Sandra, nice to hear from you. Yes I´m working at my famlytree. Maybe in some weeks I can send it to you. It´s very difficult, becourse there are a lot of the same names and the information to bithdates are not unequivocal. You will hear from me.
So long!

My line of Gradert's go back to Martin (or Marlin) Gradert and Sophia Reece Gradert. Their son, John Henry Gradert, born 1848 in Graemdapt-Holstein came to America in 1884. Do any of these names sound familiar to you?

Hi Betty,
I believe the right spelling of the village is Gammdorf. This village is near to my livingplace. I´ve found a lot of information to this family and try to make a familytree of them. But it´s verry difficult. When I have it comple, I´ll send it to you. Where do you come from?

Rolf, I am very happy to have found a connection to the Graderts in Germany. Thank you for the correction on the spelling of the city. Do you find actual mention of Martin and Sophia Reece Gradert in your files? John Gradert and his wife, Caroline Detlef, settled for a short time in Iowa and then in Dixon County, Nebraska. I live about 75 miles away in Fremont, Nebraska. I am excited to find more on the Graderts. Betty
