I think we're related! Do you have any of your history documented? Lets see if I can go down my line, or up my line so to speak. Julius b.1823 and Sophia Elizabeth Grahe were my ggg-grand parents. They immigrated from Bremen, Germany in 1855 with their children Henry Christian b 24 June 1849;d 8 August 1925 (my gg-grandfather); John b.1852 (my gg-uncle);and Frederick b 1854. Once in the US they had additional children:Lizzie b. 1856; William Julius b. 1860; Julius Agustus b.1862; Maria Margaret b 1866; and Sophia Elizabeth b 1869.
Henry Christian Grahe married Fannie M. Shiver in about 1873. They lived in Maryland and had children:William J b1874; F. Keefer b 1875; Caroline E B1877; Fannie Virginia b1881 d 1922 (she was my g-grandmother);and Rose b 1883;They moved to Washington DC in about 1895.
Fannie Virginia Grahe married Robert Edgar Smith in about 1903. They lived in Washington DC and had children:Evelyn Melvina , my grandmother; Mary Elizabeth;Elsie Lee; Henrietta Ellen (my g-aunt Hennie lives in Florida and is 88 yrs young! and a son who died in infancy.
