My grandmother was a Gummow, but I don't know
much about her family. There were 7 girls in
her family: Mae, Peggy (Margaret), Irene,
Doris, Shirley, Mary (my grandmother b.Nov.11
1929), and Helen. They lived in Alberta
Canada. Any info about Gummow roots in Alberta
would be appreciated -email is fine
(the parents names may have been Isabel and
William). Thanks

Hi Elizabeth,
also forwarding your name and e-mail to my brother whom has ment alot of the Gummow's from Canada-His e-mail address is
rgummo@yahoo.com
we will get back to you. Most of our Gummow-Gummo's are from John Gummow's line from St Major, Cornwall, England who came too Canada in 1832 then on too Clinton Co., PA and this is where our family is located to this day.
The Gummow-Gummo lines are a hard one for now too many are working on them. I have been working on them for 15 years and it has been rough gone

I'm great grandson of William Gummoe and Mary Ann Sawle. My grandfather was their son James Alfred b. 1862. My great great grandparents were James Gummoe and Ann Perryman. Sound familiar Mary?

I'm just starting my search but James Gummo was my mother's uncle. Her name was Georgia Jane Snook of Mill Hall and her mother was Georgianna Gummo Snook. My mother spent summers on their farm and I have many pix of Joseph and the whole family and their farm.
