Not many Haluska's around. Hopefully we can find a connection. My great grandfather was Julius Haluska. They were austrian, but lived in Ruzomberok Chechoslavkia before coming to America around 1900-1910. Unfortunately anyone who could give me more information about him or his wife Clara have passed on. Any information you have would be great. Good luck with your search.

I just found out my grandfather's mother's name was Apolonia Heluska (could be Haluska). She married Joseph Kuschel in Prussia. The place of birth for my grandfather was given as Lipenski (probably misspelled), Prussia. I am just trying to sort all this out as I am pretty sure there is no place called this in either Germany or Poland.

Classification: Query
Surnames: Mellish
I am the daughter of John Mellish's brother, James. I didn't know about you. I have been researching my ancestry, but can not trace past my Grandfather, Daniel Mellish, on the Mellish side. Do you or anyone else have the names of my grandfather's parents and where they came from?
