I'm searching for any info on George W Hambel. Born 13 Apr 1882 in Morgan County, Ohio. He married Myrtle Lillian Thompson on 19 Jan 1904 also in Morgan County, Ohio. He died 28 Jul 1972 in Zanesville, Oh. His first wife Myrtle died 9 oct 1937 in Zanesville as well. I know that his parents were John Hambel Alice Sweat but thats about all I have them except that they are buried in Mountville cemetery somewhere in Morgan County, Oh. Myrtles parents are William Thompson Armeda Nice Who are supposed to be buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Bishopville, Oh. William died in Dec 1927 Armeda remarried a Charles Wharff or Wharf died sometime after. Does any of this look familiar? Will share what othr info I have.

I have a couple George Hambel's, one I have that is born approx. 1876 but he is a cousin to Charles Hambel (my grandfather) and Alice Sevett. I have tons of info on the Hambel back to Charles Grandfather Ebenezer Hambel (b. approx 1800) and his wife Jane Auimiller. Most of which I looked up off of the census for Morgan County Ohio. John and Alice are in Mountville cemetery with a nice large stone and Charles is in Maplewood cemetery.

Dan,
Hello. I am also related to this line. I am from the Swett line. Alice Swett married John Hamble b Nov Morgan Co., Oh. John's parents were Ebenezer Hamble & Jane Aumiller. Alice's parents were Isaac W. & Sarah Cooper Swett of Athens co., OH. I have some more information if you want it.
I do not know why some of the Swett's marriage records have their last name spelled wrong. I also have Swett information.
Would love to share.
