Am searching for relatives of Daniel Hess. He was born in 1824 and
died in 1867. He had a daughter Rebecca Hess who was married to Aaron Fox.
They were my grandparents. He also had a son Daniel David and a son Joseph Ambrose.
They came from Reading,Pa. Need all the help I can get. Thank You.

I believe there was a Daniel on my fathers side, I'm not sure of his parents and grandparents. Do you know where your people originated from? My Father was Albert R.Hess, from WVA

Message posted by Marian Stevens. Do you have a date of birth for your Daniel in Berks County, Pa?

My Daniel Hess was born in 1817 in PA. came to Wells Co., Indiana (1840 Ind. Census. Moved to Ripley Co., Indiana and married Anna Peterman Jan. 26, 1840. Two children were born here Catherine and Simeon M. Hess.

The family moved to Wisconsin where three more children were born: Mary E., Algor and William.

I have Daniel and Anna Hess in Faribault Co., Elmore in the 1880 census. I cannot find a date of death for either of them. Could be buried at the Hess Burying Grounds in Elmore but closed in 1886. Faribault Co. clerk has no record of their deaths.

Simeon M., son, and Savannah Hess moved to Washington state in September of 1900.

I am trying to put this family into:

Daniel (H)Hess He signed the ship register with a H). Came over on the ship "Patience" September 9, 1751 into Philadelphia
Pennsylvania German Pioneers Vol l. page 455-456
Married Catharine (Hess) probably Germantown,Philadelphia.

I have put these children together
Samuel Hess
Philip Hess
Chrisitan
Andrew I know this is not my connection. Have your tried the Family History Center at your local Morman church ?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
