HI! Where did your Horrigan come from in Ireland? Mine came from Clonakilty, county Kerry. There are alot of Horrigans, Harrigand or Horgans who have come from county Cork.

Holy Moly!!! My GGrandfather Patrick Horrigan came from Clonakilty also!! I know his father's name was Jeremiah...and that in searching for ancestors, I've come across a whole bunch of Jeremiahs, which makes thing confusing...but from what little I know about the Irish naming system, I would think he was the oldest brother in the family.

It's difficult if you don't know where in Ireland your family is from.
There are some nice helpful people in the County Kerry and County Cork genealogy forum run by rootsweb...you might try them.

I think you are referring to James J. Horrigan and Mae (nickname) who can be located in the 1930 census in Preble County, Ohio. I too am researching the Horrigan family. James is the son of Mary E. Horrigan. I have other info.
