My great grandmother, Ellen Hourihan, came to the US born near Bantry in County Cork. Died 1942. She had several brother and sisters -- Her mother married twice -- The Hourihans were Norah (US), Corneilus (US), Ellen(US), Eugene (Ireland) . Eugene's children were named Patrick, Cornelius,, Timothy, John, Nora, Katherine, Mary, Anna, Julia and Hannah. I don't know any of them but my great aunt wrote a family history (just what she remembered) about 20 years ago.

Re you're question about Cornelius Hourihan(e).
My grandfater was Cornelius. I believe he first went to New York, then married Rose Brigette O'Flynn and they moved to Massachusetts, settling in Milford. They had William, Daniel, Francis, James, Mary, Rose and my father John T.
My father had Patricia, Diane, Nancy, Sheila Dennis, Cornelius and myself, John Jr.
Hope htis helps

Hello, I am looking for my great, greatgrandparents family who came from Ireland maybe Limerick around 1850/60. There names are Daniel (d.o.b aprrox 1835) and Julia (d.o.b approx 1836) Hourihan and they settled in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. Daniel worked in the steel works. He and Julia possibly had seven children who are welsh by birth. I hope someone out there can help me put my Irish family on my family tree. All the dates could be wrong by about 5 years as the census dates could be incorrect. Thank you for taken the time to read this.
