My direct line of ancestors in identical to the one posted.
My family's research had extended back as far as
our ancestors in Germany starting with Valentine
but we were unaware of the Switzerland connection.
We have more information on the
ancestors posted such as marriages, siblings, and so on
if you are interested. Thank you.

Virginia:

My information, concerning the Switzerland connection, for HEINRICH HOHWERTER and wife Anna Maria, came from research done by Ghlee Howerter of Cuba, Illinois. Ghlee is now deceased but he hired extensive research done on the Howerter family. I believe his may be on file at the Parlin/Ingersoll Library in Canton, IL.

It has also been suggested by researcher, Dr. Eager Archivist at Speyer, Germany that Heinrich and Anna Maria possibly could have migrated from Switzerland as many people in this area (called the sickering hohe) had.

These are my 7th great-grandparents. What is your relationship?

Joan

Johan Adam Howerter and Barbara Bastrus were the parents of 9 children, which included Benjamin, my 3rd Great-Grandfather.
The Switzerland connection came from a Ghlee Howerter who's German research included the information that they were originally from Switzerland. That is all the information I have on the Switzerland connection.
