My grandfathers name was Leopold hubacek and was also changed. He came to the states about the same time.We do have some of the documents from the time he came to America. I do not know if he had any brothers or sisters. Send me an e-mail if you need any more info.

Hi there,

My great grandfather also came from Czech in the early 1900's (not sure of the exact date/ year). I know he had a brother named Anthony. They landed in New York city and dispersed from there. My grandfather went to Montreal, Canada and I am not sure where the other brothers went from there. I understand that there were several Hubacheck males who came over.

I'd like to find out more myself.

My great grandfather's name was Leopold. Perhaps it's the same person. My grandfather's name was Louis, he was born in 1906 and died in 1998. he had several brothers and sisters. it sounds like Louis was probably your uncle. if you'd like anymore information i'd be glad to give it to you. also if you have any information on leopold it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I live in Salisbury, Maryland.

I am adopted, seaching for my biological ancestry.

I know that I am part Hubacheck biologically, but not legally because of the adoption.

Family has always been very important to me as well as medical and biological issues.

Are there any strong medical issues that you are aware of like particular cancers, heart problems, diabetes, alzheimers, etc.

Thank you !
Stacie

I'm currently researching family. Particularly Laopalda Hubacheck immigrated to US in 1903 from Poland. Possible first name changed to Leopold. He would be my great grandfather. some of his children were born in Poland and some in Massechusetts. I'm interested in Olga Hubacheck, his daughter, and my grandmother. His name disappears from the 1930 US census. Perhaps he died or left the family. His wife Anna appears on this census with most of the 6 of 7 children.
any help would be appreciated.

Hi Gardengnome.
My dad was George. he was the youngest of the kids. He died in April 2001
He told us some stories about his parents, they both died when he was young.
His father passed from pneumonia and his mother from a brain tumor a few years later.

I tried using this site years ago, but there wasn’t a lot of info about the Hubachecks.
Let me know what I can do to help, I would like to find out more our family too!

Thanks,
Steve
