In search of relatives of Nanola Mae Ireson (1908-1988).

She married Charles Marshall Smith )1902-1970).

Some of her siblings were Lavenia Ireson Cowden and Sarah Ireson.

Her mother was Elizabeth Demeris Ireson and her father was William S. Ireson.

According to my grandmother Eliz came from Ireland. I have photos of all these people and many more but am missing dates and names.

The middle name "Demeris" has been handed down at least 5 generations in America and my grandmother said it is much older than that.
It might be a clue to help in locating relatives.

If anyone has info on this family please share. As mentioned, I have numerous pictures, letters, etc that might help others.

Pearisburg, VA; Williamson WVA and other locations have been confirmed in the photos.

Thanks,

Amber

Hi Robert

My mother is an Ireson. She is from London England. I live in New Zealand and have not been able to find out much about the family name. I am interested in finding where the name originates and trying to tie my family in. I would love to hear from you. Thanks Maddy.

I was born 8/16/00 Linda Louise Ireson. My Grandparents were Ernest Delbert Ireson and Jim Johnson; they were both from the South. They had seven sons. Delbert, Paul, Julian, Robert, Jack, Laverne and Gerald. My Father was the second born (Paul). My Father married Kathleen Margaret LaMay . They had six chidren. Darlene (Jamroz), Linda (Lawrence), Michael, Mark, David and Donald. My Grandparents and parents are all deceased now, as well as my uncles Delbert and Julian. My favorite uncle is Robert "Bobby". I know very little about my family history. The Ireson name, at least in this part of the country (Michigan) is very rare. If you know anythng about my families history. Please post a note. Thank You in advance...

I hope this letter is read by Linda Louise Ireson Lawrence. I am trying to locate some family members of Ernest Ireson. I don't know if this is the right one, but but my great uncle was named ernest and his wife, they called Jimmy. I do remember that they had a lot of boys. If this is the one, we just buried his sister, Thelma Ireson Jacobs Friday, Oct 6, 00. We didn't know how to get ahold of any of Uncle Ernest family. The reason I am trying to find family members now is that we want to have a family reunion next summer. We do live in the south. Uncle Ernest was my grandfathers brother. His name was Eugene Ireson. He lived to be 85. I also know that Ernest lived in MI. I remember coming to visit him as a little girl. I loved him. When he used to come and visit my grandparents he was so good to me. Did he sale jewelry? Also did he have bad eye sight? Please e-mail me and let me know one way or the other. Thank you
Sherry
