Any information on my grandparents Archibald Ainsley and Ann Louise Izzard from Halifax, Nova Scotia, or any other ancestors before them.
Also, any information Andrew Izzard, b.1755 Black Loyalist from South Carolina, arrived Tracadie, Nova Scotia, 1787. Andrew Izzard married Nancy Ann Richardson, also of South Carolina.
I'm trying to find the missing link, if my great/grandparents are decendants of Andrew Izzard. If you have any information about the Black Community at Tracadie, Nova Scotia please, contact me ASAP.

We found information on an Andrew Izzard, enslaved by a Ralph Izard in Charleston, SC, 1780's. We have compiled 4 generations of our family. Our ancestors were black settlers in Nova Scotia. We still have missing links to Andrew Izzard. Pls. send info about the article.

The Izard origin was the Les Essarts of Normandy from the geneology I have on the Arkansas, Texas and South Carolina Izards. There is a Henry, Isaac Michael I(settled in Penn), II, III. My Great Grandfather was William Randolf Izard who married Sarah Jane Reed. The name was changed to Isard during WWI.

Rosemary, Sorry about the delayed response. The information I have on the Izzard line ( which was later changed to Isard for my line ) was documented by Mrs. Julia Hemenway of Little Rock, Arkansas and filed in Lincoln, Nebraska in honor of her Grandfather Mark Whitaker Izard, who was territorial Governor of Nebraska. The first paragraph does mention the Arkansas, Texas and South Carolina Izards, so if the family was in South Carolina it would seem a likely possibility for a connection to North Carolina. My Great grandfather was William Randolph Isard. Some of the other family names they married were Conyers, Reeves, Woodward, Foulks. This 1938 document was prepared by a Mrs. Walter Patton McVickar in Arlington, VA for a DAR search. If you would like to see it I could copy it or have my sons scan it for you. If it turns out we can just send it as an attachment. p.s. I tried your e-mail address but I couldn't send to it. It looks like you have a filter for new incoming addresses.

Susan, I would love to have a copy of the info on the Izzard line! About the "filter"..I know nothing about it and wonder how to get rid of it?? The Randolph Izzard I have is in N. C. as early as 1784 and James in 1787. Thank you
