Interested in descendents of Simon Sleph
married to Anna Jameson of chicago. There
were three sons and five daughters, Rose
Mildred, and Irving were the name of 3 child-
ren.
Benny and Pearl Jaffee's descendents. Parents
were elka and sam jaffee, Elka's mother's
maiden name in Vitebsk was sarah dukarewich

I am trying to locate relatives - my grandparents are Elka Sleph married to Sam Jaffee - lived in the Hyde Park area of Chicago and had 8 children, Ben, Oscar, Pearl, Rosabelle, Gertrude, Esther, Sarah, Edith.

i am searching for info abt descendants of SAM JAFFEE who lived in palo alto calif and had 6 children and an auto agency in pala alto. where can i reach one of his children,or would they reply to me. i am doing this search for a close friend of the family who has no computer. any info would be greatly appreciated.

The Sam Jaffee (Jaffe) family I am researching is from the Chicago area - they had 8 children - 6 boys, 2 girls.

You might also check for the spelling Jaffie. One Jaffie, my ex's uncle, was a Cook County judge for decades in the mid-1900s. He retired in the early 1960s and moved to southern CA where he and his wife each died in about the 1970s. Their father emigrated to the US in the late 1800s. I have NO idea why the surname spelling might vary.

As an odd note, elderly actor Mickey Rooney might have some clues about this family, since he babysat my exhusband back in the mists of time. ;)

Can you give me a time frame, please? I might have one, twin to PHILLIP, all probably born in NY late 1800s, moved to Chicago. There were 11 brothers and sisters although several died at birth or infancy, children of CHARLES and ROSE MUELLER. More than one moved to CA over time.

Other sib's names are: BESS EVA EDWARD LOUIS JOSEPH.
