Hello Carol,

Thanks for this reply. My Jaggards seemed to have stayed in England. However I will tuck this away just in case I find a connection with Mary Ann.

Many thanks

Hi Linley

Where in England are your Jaggards from? Mine are from Warwickshire. If yours are too would love to hear from you. Well would love to hear where yours are from anyway.

Hi Trish,

My Jaggards seem to come from Cambridgeshire....Dullingham and then Westley Waterless.

My gt gt grandfather Samuel Jaggard went to London and married there to Louisa Elliott of London. They had several children. Their daughter Louisa Jane somehow went from London to Brighton where she married John Morrison and they emigrated to New Zealand in 1865, not long after they married.

They had 6 children and I descend from their son George.

I'm not sure where in relation Cambridgeshire is to Warwickshire.

Cheers
Lynley

Thanks for your reply Linley

Seems to me to be three different pockets of Jaggards -

Cambridgeshire (your lot)
Warwickshire (my lot)
South east

Don't know if they tie together. We have traced the Warwickshire lot back to about 1600 and they have been in Warwickshire all that time. So if they tie together it was before then!!

Thanks again for your reply

Trish

Hi Lynley,
I am also looking at Jaggards from Dullingham. Do you have Samuel's parents?

Hi Lyn,

I have John Morley JAGGARD, born c 1794 as a father for Samuel, born 1815. Mother Mary CLEMENTS/CLEMANCE born c 1796.
Possibly both of them were illegitimate and it is not easy to confirm these links.

What is your connection to JAGGARD in Dullingham please?
Cheers
Lynley

Hi Lynley,
I have been working on the Jaggards for someone else. His connection is through John Jaggard and Mary Prewer m. Dullingham 1741. Their children were all born in Dullingham. One daughter Susan m. Martin Jeffrey 1767 in Dullingham and that is "my" connection.John Jaggard also had a brother Samuel.
