According to US records Wilhelm Alexander JENSCH (born 12 Sept 1842) and his brother Melchior (born 1834) emigrated from either the city of Darmstadt or the Grand Duchy of Hesse Darmstadt to the USA about 1852 and settled in Milwaukee. They were the sons of David and Christina (Meyer) JENSCH. It's not clear whether the parents also came to America. The family was Lutheran. I've traced Wilhelm Alexander's descendants in the USA. I'm interested in finding a trace of this Jensch family in Germany.

I am looking for the family of Dr. JENSCH who married a Christiane Lewetag, she would have been born around 1800. Her Father Joseph Lewetag was born 5 Mar 1781 in Gerieten Germany and died in Gülpe - Burg Germany so we assume Dr JENSCH and Christiane lived in the same area.

They had two know children

1) Luise JENSCH, she married a Ferdinand Muller born Rathenow, Germany

2) Richard JENSCH not other information on him
