Hi Mark:
My father was Peter Nicholas Karpen. Son of Jacob Karpen and Anna Maria Muelbach(sp?). He was born in Brighton, WI. Who are your parents? I have a large family tree which was gathered first by Raymond J. Karpen of Maryland and then by reunions of Karpens held in MN, SD and WI.

I'm sure we are talking about the same people. I don't have Peter Nicholas Karpen. I do have the following:
Jacob Karpen b. 31 Jan 1845 d. 15 Sep 1923 m. 13 April 1880 to Anna Maria Muhlbach (sp?). Jacob's father is Ludwig b. 1807 d. 8 Aug 1891.
My wife is a Karpen descendant; as follows: Glenda Thoma - Don Thoma - Mayme Karpen - John Karpen - Ludwig Karpen. E-Mail me at malockard@worldnet.att.net

John Karpen/Mary Katherine Gerardy. Mary would have been the sister to my ggf (Christof Gerardy). I have her born 1861, Brighton, Wi;m-06/22/1883, New Prague,MN. Her father was Christof Gerardy, who was married in Brighton,WI in 1858. Please contact me if this helps. I am trying to make a connection to the family while in Brighton,WI. Dear Anna,

I have Karpen's in my family tree from the Swan Lake area of Nicollet County, MN. I would be very much interested in having the family tree done by Raymond J Karpen. Is this possbile for you? Thanks!
Br Conrad

Dear Anna Glowiak and Mark Lockard:
Would you both please get in touch with me regarding the Karpen family tree. I have been researching the Milbach (Muelbach/Muhlbach) family tree for two years and have extensive information and updates. I would like to know all about what you both have found. I would very much like to update my tree for the family to the current day. I can be reached at swjfirephotog@aol.com. I live in Racine, Wisconsin and have been researching throughout southeast Wisconsin. Hope to hear from you ASAP. Thanks. Steve
