That is funny my brother and sister were born in Chicago too. But only because my father took a job there. Both my parentents were born and raised in KY...I was born in Indiana but we were only there a few months after my birth. When we lived in Louisville there were only 4 Lacefields in the Louisville phone book, my father, his 2 brothers and their sister. The other siblings lived out of Louisville.

Hi Michelle,

My grandmother was Mary Elisabeth Duke, her husband was Talton Lacefield. They had 10 children all born in Butler or Breckinridge counties. My father was born 5-29-1915 and is still alive. He father Talton died when my father was about 9 years old. So he remembers very little about his fathers family.

Hi Carol,

What is your last name? Well' your madien name if your are married. I spoke with my mother this morning and she is checking on some history for me to give to you. Maybe you are apart of our family....and if not it's okay, just finding people willing to share sometimes is the best anyway....do you have any questions of me...Until my mom pops in the internet...she knows more than I do about our history..:) smile
