Even though this is an unusual name -at least in Australia, it is proving difficult to trace ancestry pre 1900.
It is understood that there is a link between the Laundry family in Sydney and Laundry family in US. I would appreciate
any information !

To be honest I was not aware of all of the
people with the same last name as I have.
The only people I was aware of are my immediate
family, who are located in Campbellford, Ontario
and surrounding areas. Until, I recently began looking up my
ancestors. I found some interesting things
out, although I would like to know more. So,
what ever info. you have available please let
me know.

I am searching for Laundry's in Canada, and thought perhaps you may have some information. My great, great grandmother was Adeline Laundry and was born about 1849 in Canada. I believe it was Ontario, but I haven't proven it. Her father was Joseph Laundry and her mother was Adelia Gagne. They eventually located to Michigan. Do any of these names ring a bell?

Try looking under the name Landry. When the Landry family started coming to the US the name sounded like Laundry to the English. Landry is the correct last name. This may help. My gggrandmother went by the name Laundry but i found her in Coopersville, NY under Adelaide LANDRY.

Hi, I am having trouble locating the Laundry family in Michigan. My grandpa is Arthur Laundry, and my Grandma's name is Stella. Grandpa died in 1976, and my Grandma lives in Drummond Isl, MI. I am trying to trace my roots, so maybe we can get together and share what we've learned. Who knows... we might be related!
