We are member of the Leeds family based in Cambridge England who ancestors came from Norwich in the 16 Century. We have never had to chance to meet anyone with the surname.

My GGG Grandmother was Caroline LEEDS born abt1803 Maine, d.aft.1860, married James Nesmith of Maine b.20 Oct 1800, both latter of New York City.

Would like any information or direction. Appreciated.

I, too, am interested in this family as I have reason to believe a Barbara LEEDS was the wife of Adam INGER/ENGARD who resided Mt. Holly, Burlington Co., NJ.

His wife, Barbara, died in 1774 and a Barbara INGER is mentioned in the Will of Vincent LEEDS, dated 1764. Is Barbara his sister?

My line is Thomas, Daniel, Japheth, John, Jeremiah, Andrew, James, Hannah, then my mother (Ella Mae). Starting with Thomas I am 10 th generation. My pictures are of my grandmother and my great grandfather James Leeds born 1818. Some names are used more than once so it is sometimes confusing. Also have a picture of a stone marker at the boardwalk in Atlantic City to Jeremiah Leeds which was put up when the casinos went in. Also some old newspaper clippings historical book articles. I will have to organize a set of these things that might be of interest. Nice to hear from you....Marjorie
