My ggrandmother's name is Rachel LeFlore (Cherokee and Black) b Feb 2, 1919. Her mother's name is Annie Garrett.
She was born in Indian Territory (now Ft. Coffee or Spiro Oklahoma) where she married William Brown. Although my grandmother insists that no one in her family was ever a slave, in our information records,
Rachel has an "owner" listed. His name is Ben Leflore. Another Leflore is mentioned--Campbell Leflore. She married a Choctaw/Black man named William Brown.
If anyone has information about these Leflore names, please email me at Bianka@yeayea.com Thank you
