My name is Amie Spence Vetter, My Grandmother, is MAry Louise Lix McDaniel Synder, she was born to Louie and Norma Lix, of Wright, Ks., Louie Lix was born to my gg- grandfather Micheal Lix of Tipton, MO., they had 8 children total., Eugene Lix., Oswald, Lix (Bud)., Cletis Lix., and Jake Lix (Jake is nickname) all the boys are deceased but have many children and grandchildren living in or around Dodge City, KS., all of the sisters are still living Helen Lix Bloomer., Eunice (lix), and Elenor (lix) I forget their married names or which ones is which I mean I know one is Shipley and of course my grandmother. I spoke to my mother this morning to make sure she didn't know you (she has 34 1st cousins and this was a tight nit family) she said she did not but said she had a family tree that tracked all the Lixes throughout. Either one of her Uncles (maybe Jake he just died a couple of years back or one of her cousins did it) She suggested maybe you start w/the cemetary in Tipton., MO or that they should have archieves in their city records . The Lixes helped in the homesteading of Tipton. Trust me I know this we live in KCMO and everytime we would go to the Lake of the Ozarks (even as an adult) we pass through Tipton and I get told "Ya know the Lixes helped in the homesteading of Tipton." Yes I know mother. I hope some how this helps in your research of the family. It doesn't sound as if we are directly related but somewhere down the line two of our ancestors were brothers. If you would like I could possibly see if my mother would let me (she will right now my grandmother is not in good health and she has alot on mind) see the genelogy she has and possibly help you out further. Good Luck!

After posting my 1st message I spoke w/my mother again and she stated that my grandmother spoke of a Uncle Casper so it sounds like that my g grandfather and your gg grandfather were brothers. this didn't click until I got back on tho read your posting again. This stuck in my because my Mom stated it was an unusal name

We have them as Johann Heinrich Lix and Anna Elisabeth Marie Eichmeier. She was a sister to my gg grandmother Catherine Marie Friederike Eichmeier, wife of Friedrich Eduard Ludwig "Wilhelm" Bangert. All lived at Lixville in Bollinger county MO.

Hi. My g-g-grandmother was Charlotte W. (Lix) Clements, daughter of Johann Heinrich Lix Jr. (b. 1821 Germany) and Mary Eckmeier, from Lixville, Bollinger County, MO. I'd like to find John and Mary's place of marriage. I was told it was in the U.S.

I have to put this together but both those names are in my family and my father Herbert Krueger was born in Albert Lea. My Grandmother was Emily Louise Pohlmann Krueger whose Grandfather was Christian Lix and maybe an Aunt was a Kuethe. Any Connections. Thanks R. McFarland
