hi mike male here hoping i could give you some info ,we only know we probably originated in belgium , there is a castle named after a lord male . i am from coventry ,my grandparents were from walsall , we are in the middle of the u;k , be interested if you have any u.k connections

We know so little about my mother's family, but today learned the mother of Grace Male was Julia Sandercock.

interested in further info on an Ann Male born abt 1838 died after March 18, 1897. Her father was James Male a carpenter born abt 1813. She was married at St. Mary's Lambeth on October 4, 1853, to Richard Ascot Luke (a master tailor). When he died in 1897 they lived at #7 Gurney St. Newington, County of London.Wish to extend my "Male" line if available

Hello Mike. Was going through the boards and found your note. My father's mother was a Male. My ancestor was Wilmer Male. His wife was Elizabeth and they came to America from the U.K. around the time of the Revolutionary War. For some reason the family changed the spelling to MAHLE in the 1800's. Let me know if you run across this branch of the family. I'll keep watch for you too. Who knows, maybe we're distantly related. Thanks!!! Cindy (P.S.: My sister-in-law is from the UK. Was going over some of rootsweb surnames for male and ran unto your message wilmer is related to me he had a wife name Elizabeth and several childrenat least one of his chidren were born in this country (wilmer jr maried the daughter of a cheokee indian)
